Your Hosts

Toni & Lorin Wortel

After operating the very successful After Eight Bed & Breakfast in Paradise, PA until November 2005 Toni & Lorin Wortel together with their two children Marc and Miranda started the restoration of the historic and upscale Silverstone Inn & Suites. After completion in January of 2007, they opened up their newly renovated family mansion to visitors of our tourism Paradise: The PA Dutch Amish area. The Inn received a Preservation Award from the Historic Society shortly after opening.


Besides the duties at the B&B, Lorin's biggest hobby is counted cross stitch and sketching. You can admire her artwork throughout the Inn. She was born and raised in Lancaster County, PA.

 

Toni has a background in Marine Engineering and Computer Sciences which enabled him to design and implement many of the B&B advanced systems. Born and raised in Amsterdam, Netherlands, he has lived in Lancaster for over 30 years since his marriage to Lorin in December 1981.

Nick & Miranda Wagner

Miranda and Nick each obtained a Hospitality Management Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania 2013.

 

Upon graduation they joined the Family Business as Innkeepers at the Silverstone Inn & Suites and have helped maintain the high standards and gracious hospitality that the Inn is known for.

 

They have been inspired by the potential the Silverstone Estate has to offer with its beautiful grounds, historic 1750's limestone buildings, and gorgeous barns.  

 

Nick & Miranda help provide a few days off for Toni & Lorin by assisting with Breakfast and Check-ins throughout the week.  When they are not serving/cooking breakfast they are running the Wedding Venue on site - The Barn at Silverstone.

 

Nick & Miranda are pleased to have been one of the first couples to be married in the Barn at Silverstone on

October 10, 2015.

Toni: Born in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Education:  Nautical Engineer. Hobbies: Computer Programming, Ham Radio, Astronomy, Web Site Management, Motorcycles, Cooking.


Miranda: Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Education: BS Hospitality Management, Indiana University of Pennsylvania 2013. Hobbies: Drawing, Cooking, Singing, Sewing and Crocheting.


Nick: Born in Sellersville Pennsylvania. Education: BS Hospitality Management & Minor in Nutrition, Indiana University of Pennsylvania 2013. Hobbies: Motorcycles, Electronics, Video Games, Hockey, Rugby, Cooking.
